In EUSD, all of our students are able to engage in authentic learning experiences that inspire students to understand how their learning can connect to the world around them. As we implement the EUSD Framework for the Future and as part of our science instruction, all EUSD 8th graders are able to engage in a fieldwork experience through the Middle School Medical Discoveries program that is offered through our partnership with Palomar Health. The Middle School Medical Discoveries program connects Palomar Health doctors, nurses, and ancillary staff with our students, inspiring a new generation of healthcare workers through accessible, engaging, hands-on, fun medical instruction. All 8th-grade students from Bear Valley, Del Dios, Hidden Valley, Rincon, and Mission Middle Schools, as well as from Quantum and Limitless Learning Academies, visit the Palomar Medical Center Escondido campus on one of eleven dates. Activities include casting and splinting, applying dressings and tourniquets, and CPR/AED use.
Here are this week’s updates and reminders.
