Principal’s Message
Thank you for your support as we begin the 2024-2025 school year! It’s been wonderful to see returning families and welcome new ones to our school community. We hope you met your student’s teacher at Back to School Night. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher for any information you need. The energy and enthusiasm of our students have made for a great start to the year, and we’re excited for everything that lies ahead. As we move forward, we’re looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and positive experiences for all of our students. Thank you for being part of our school community--let’s make this year a great!
Parent Corner
Our Vista Hill Parent Group will begin on Wednesday, September 18th, at 8:30 AM. This session will run for 10 consecutive weeks. The first meeting will be held in Room 21, with all following sessions taking place in the VPA. In these sessions, parents will learn valuable strategies to better understand their children and strengthen family unity. Please note that these sessions will be conducted in Spanish. If you are interested in English Parent Group classes, please contact Vanessa Hernandez at 760-566-5036.
Labor Day
In observance of Labor Day, there will be no school on Monday, September 2nd. We hope you enjoy a relaxing long weekend with your family, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus on Tuesday, refreshed and ready for the week ahead!
Student iPads
Juniper students (K-5) have received an iPad to use in the classroom but students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade can take their iPads home. It is extremely important that students bring their iPads to school each day and that they are fully charged. This allows students to be engaged in the lessons without interruption. All TK/Kinder/ 1st grade students' iPads remain in the classrooms.

Fall Pictures
Fall pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th. Be sure to save the date and have your students ready for picture day!
Family Day at Lunch
We’re excited to announce that our first Family Day Lunch will be with our 5th graders! We hope you can join your 5th grader for lunch on Wednesday, September 18th, at 1 PM. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and check in at the office. As a reminder, we ask that you refrain from bringing soda, “red or blue” chips, or energy drinks to ensure a healthy environment for all students. We can’t wait to see you there and make this day special for our 5th graders! Ms. Sanvictores 5th graders will have family day at lunch on a different date.
Earthquake Drill
We will be conducting an earthquake drill on Monday, September 23rd, at 11:10 AM. This drill is an important safety practice to ensure that all students and staff are prepared in the event of an actual earthquake. Students will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On," taking cover under desks and holding on until the drill is complete. We will then safely evacuate to designated areas. This practice ensures that students and staff are prepared in case of an actual earthquake.
Movie Night
Join us for PTA Movie Night on Friday, September 20th, at 6:30 PM! We’ll be showing Trolls Band Together. It’s sure to be a fun-filled evening for the whole family—don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs! More information about tickets will be sent home soon.
