Family Day at Lunch – Our 2nd graders will have Family Day at Lunch Wednesday, Jan. 17th. Parents and guardians will be able to join their students for lunch during their lunch break. Parents can purchase a delicious lunch from our Jaguar Cafe (Cash Only), or you can bring an outside meal to enjoy. The parent guideline information was sent home last week. Please check your child’s backpack. 2nd grade lunch is from 12-12:20 pm.
Red Robin – This week we have an exciting fundraiser. We are partnering with Red Robin in support of the programs at Juniper. Join us at the Red Robin at the mall on January 18 for some yummy food! Please bring your family and friends.
Vista Hill – Vista Hill Parenting Group Session began January 11th. In this session, parents will learn how to strengthen family unity. This session will be in Spanish; please call Vanessa at 760-560-5036 if you are interested in English classes.
Lockdown Drill – We will be having a lockdown drill on Jan. 19th at 8:30. A lockdown drill is when we practice to achieve maximum safety in the event of a threat. Our campus will be locked and students will be inside during the drill.
Donations – Do you have any spare clothes at home collecting dust? Our health technician is in need of loaner clothes for boys and girls for the times students have accidents. Stop by the health office to donate.
Upcoming Events:
The Great Kindness Challenge Week begins next week. Students and teachers will focus on ways to show kindness to others through actions and words. Each day represents a fun way to celebrate kindness on campus.
Monday – Peace, Love & Kindness; Wear Tie Dye
Tuesday – Shine Bright with Kindness; Wear neon or bright colors
Wednesday – Say Yee-Haw for Kindness; Dress as a cowboy or cowgirl
Thursday – Color our World with Kindness; Wear your favorite color
Friday – It’s your job to be Kind; Career Day
