Attendance – Regular attendance with the support of parents and guardians – helps ensure that our students are taking advantage of all the extraordinary opportunities provided at Juniper. Attendance is a key life skill that will continue to help students throughout their years in elementary, middle school, high school, college, and beyond. Missing just two days a month can cause a child to fall behind in core subjects like reading and math, and subsequently result in additional stress and feeling disconnected from school. We offer numerous resources to support families, and encourage you to contact Juniper if you are experiencing any challenges to daily school attendance for your child.

i-Ready assessments – Our students recently completed their i-Ready diagnostic test in Reading and Math. This test allows teachers and parents to be informed on students’ progress toward grade level standards. Once students complete the assessments, they receive their individualized learning path that includes learning activities to practice reading and math skills at their level that they can access on their iPad at school and at home. The latest results for your student will be shared at parent-teacher conferences in October. Please contact your child's teacher if you have questions about their score or learning path.

Picture day – This Wednesday is Picture Day! Come to school dressed to impress! All students were sent home with an order form for families who would like to purchase this year’s school photos. Please return the form on Wednesday if you would like to purchase a photo package.

Earthquake Drill – The essential components of earthquake drills are classroom discussions, demonstrations, and exercises designed to help students learn and practice WHERE to seek shelter and HOW to protect their heads and bodies from objects (e.g., debris from ceilings light fixtures, and shattered glass). On Monday 9/18 we will have an earthquake drill at 8:30.
