This announcement serves as a public notice that at 7 p.m. October 13, 2022, the Escondido Union School District Board of Education at its regularly scheduled meeting will conduct a public hearing to discuss the purposes of presenting certain findings, taking public comment, and approving Resolution 2022-23-07 adopting the findings and approving an Energy Services Contract with Willdan Energy Solutions for the implementation of certain energy-related improvements including, but not limited to, the engineering, procurement, installation, and construction of solar-photovoltaic electricity generation and storage equipment at various school sites throughout the district.
The resolution, contracts, and supporting documents will be on the regular agenda for public comment and proposed action to EUSD facilities in accordance with California Government Code Section 4217.10 to 4217.18. The meeting will be held in the District Office Board Room, 2310 Aldergrove Avenue.
The board is seeking input from parents and members of the community and welcomes comments and interest. The hearing will be open to the public in person and via Zoom.
Each speaker who wishes to address the board must complete a “Request to be Heard” card located on the table at the entrance to the boardroom. Place the completed card at the recording secretary’s workstation.To submit a comment online, use this form, which will be available from 6 p.m. October 12 to noon October 13. Regular board meetings are recorded and live-streamed.
Comments must not exceed three minutes or 450 words in length. The board shall limit the total time for public input on each item to 20 minutes. The Board of Education is prohibited by law from taking action on matters discussed that are not on the agenda.
