The Escondido Union School District is pleased to share the following public notice announcing great news for the district's commitment to nutrition access for all.

The Escondido Union School District will continue to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision program under the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and/or Afterschool Snack Program for the 2023-2024 school year at all school sites  with in-person learning.

Effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, all students attending school on campus at an EUSD elementary or middle school are eligible to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no charge.

Schools participating in the Community Eligibility Provision program do not collect meal benefit applications to determine categorical eligibility for free, reduced-price, or paid student meals. This approach reduces the burden for families and school administrators, and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

For more information regarding the program, contact Juanita Beltran at jbeltran@eusd.org; 760-432-2332 ext.10602; or Nutrition Services, Attention CEP Information Request, 2310 Aldergrove Ave., Escondido, CA 92029.
