Rincon Bulldogs PTSA is excited to present it's first "Family Movie Night". Join us Friday, October 21st, to watch Goosebumps (PG - Parental Guidance is advised for younger children). There is no cost to attend the event and watch the movie. If you would like to purchase snacks at the event, the Snack Shack will be selling nachos, pizza, popcorn, candy, soda, water, and ice cream (while supplies last). Cash and credit will be accepted. Doors open at 5:45pm, and the film begins at 6:30pm. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult (parent/guardian). Bring your own chair or blanket.

EUSD is sending some lucky 6th graders to Camp Cuyamaca this winter break! There will be a parent/guardian meeting in-person to share information with families on 10/20 from 6:00 - 7:00 at Rincon. An interest form can be accessed at https://bit.ly/3yXy8Ef

Friday's are for RECYCLING! Well, everyday is for recycling, but on Friday's here at Rincon, students and teachers bring all of their recyclable items to a centralized location for collection. These items are then taken to a recycling facility and this once-would-have-been-trash is turned into cash! (Thank you Mr. Mario, our wonderful custodian, and Mr. White, Rincon principal, for taking the last batch!) Rincon's recycling efforts, led by our recycling advisors, Mr. Yates and Ms. Leiber, not only benefit our earth, but the funds are then put into action supporting teachers and students back on Rincon's campus. Thank you ALL for supporting Rincon Recycling!

Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up! Wed, October 5th - Friday, October 7th, parent and guardians have the opportunity to meet with their students teacher(s). If you would like to meet with your students teacher(s), please reach out to them to set up a time on one of these dates.

The Escondido Union School District is pleased to continue to offer the Gifted and Talented Education program. For GATE identification this year, all 2nd grade students will participate in universal screening in November. Parents who would like to recommend students in grades 3-8 who have not previously been screened can pick up the Parent Background and Input Form in the front office of their child’s school starting on September 26, and should return it to the school by Friday, October 14. A school team will review requests and determine which students will be eligible to be screened in November. For more information, please visit our district website or stop by your school office.

Head on over to Yogurtland today anytime between 12:00pm - 9:00pm and mention Rincon Bulldogs! Yogurtland will donate 25% of sales to Rincon's PTSA, which funds amazing things like teacher grants and student programming. Sweetness all around!

Rincon parents and guardians, Rincon’s Back to School Night is tonight, Wednesday, 9/7/22, beginning at 6:00 p.m. This year's in-person event is a tremendous opportunity for teachers to share crucial classroom information with you that will help students succeed throughout the school year. Please ask your student about a handout from their ELA teacher so you arrive ready to navigate the BTSN period-by-period bell schedule and attend teachers’ 10 minute presentations. An optional parent meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the MPR just before BTSN gets under way. The meeting will focus on Title I funding and how this funding source positively impacts student learning at Rincon. Hope to see you here!

We're having a pizza party (2 days in a row!) to help raise money, so bring your family and friends and meet us at Shakey's. While we're there, Shakey's will donate 25% of the menu price of any food purchase we make to support our Rincon Staff and Students. If you have a hectic schedule, you can still help because take-out orders count too.
