North Broadway Ranch and Reidy Creek Elementary hosted a “Book Reveal” with some of the moms who attended the Cuentos Familiares workshop this school year.
Cuentos Familiares has been a great inspiration to our families. The authors helped us believe in people, language, culture, and the power of story. Stories can be told orally, in text, through art, or music. Our unique stories keep us engaged with the world.
The idea of writing our own book was born after reading “The Art of Memory” book from Lectura Books. Eleven mom wrote and describe their most memorable childhood or life recollection and created an illustration or picture to accompany their memory.
We are so proud of this big accomplishment.
