Greetings Conway Community,
As an EL Education school, students are scientist, urban planners, artists, activists, good stewards and researchers, exploring ideas and engaging in authentic work that allows them to contribute to their communities and promote equity and social justice.
Earth Day challenge on Friday was an opportunity for students to be good stewards for our school and the environment . 5th grade students picked up about 952 pieces of trash for an Earth Day act of service. They challenged our school Crew to beat that number!
6th grade acted and cleaned up Mr. Welch's Memorial Garden.
The show finally went on. Students were treated to the incentive BMX assembly brought to us by our PTA. This is one of the many programs that our PTA sponsors for our learners. Families, this is why we need your help. PTA has several open positions for the upcoming year. If you are interested, please reach out to epicconwaypta@gmail.com.
Our very own 6th grade teacher, Mr. Williams took the challenge and recorded every EPIC moment.
Congratulations to 3rd grade student, Jorge Quintero for taking 3rd place in the City of Escondido’s Earth Day Poster contest. This contest was open to all students (grades K-8) in Escondido public and private schools. Winners were awarded for their creativity using all recycled materials in their art. Jorge was one of 30 finalists recognized by Mayor White at the ceremony on Friday. Way to be EPIC!
Finally, W.H.O. (We Help Others) Crew needs y our help! W.H.O Crew needs your help for our last service drive of the year!
