Our Mission

The Escondido Union Nutrition Services Program is dedicated to providing healthy, nutritious, and no cost meals to all students, fostering an environment where every child can thrive academically and physically. We are committed to promoting balanced diets, supporting lifelong wellness, and contributing to the overall well-being of our school community by offering meals that are both nourishing and aligned with the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Our goal is to empower students with the fuel they need for success while supporting a healthier future for our community.

What Do We Do?

The Nutrition Services Department is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing personalized, evidence-based nutrition care. We strive to deliver high-quality, accessible, and sustainable services that empower individuals to make informed food choices, improve their nutritional health, and enhance their quality of life. Through collaboration with local farmers and food producers, we prioritize fresh, locally sourced ingredients to support sustainable food systems. We are also deeply grateful for our hardworking school lunch heroes, whose dedication ensures that every student receives nutritious and delicious meals. By fostering partnerships, education, and a commitment to excellence, we aim to create a healthier, nourished future for all.
