News & Announcements: Your Voice Matters

raised hand to ask a question during a meeting at an EUSD school

January 29, 2019

Community input is essential to ensure that Escondido Union School District is providing the best education and support for the children of Escondido and their families.

With that in mind, Superintendent Dr. Luis Rankins-Ibarra and the Board of Education want to hear from parents, students, employees, residents, business owners — any community members with a sincere interest in school district programs and services. We will be using a new, interactive platform called Thoughtexchange, which will give you an opportunity to share your thoughts as well as to view and comment on the thoughts of others. The Thoughtexchange platform is now open. Follow this link and click “Continue”; no log-in is required.

In addition, please join us to share your feedback at an upcoming community meeting.

  • Monday, Feb. 4, at Oak Hill Elementary, 1820 Oak Hill Drive
  • Monday, Feb. 11, at L.R. Green Elementary, 3115 Las Palmas Ave.
  • Monday, Feb. 25, at Pioneer Elementary, 980 N. Ash St.

All meetings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school’s Multipurpose Room. Child care and translation services will be provided. No RSVP is necessary.

The information you share with us will help inform the Local Control and Accountability Plan, known as the LCAP, a blueprint tied to state funding that describes how our schools support the success of all students. Community feedback helps district and school administrators identify local needs and spending priorities.

Participation in these community meetings is greatly appreciated. We look forward to your ideas that support our academic achievement and district goals, highlight areas of improvement, and help us set future goals.
