The Escondido Union School District (EUSD) encourages parents and guardians to be partners in the education of their children through multiple opportunities for input, interaction, and involvement. The following activities are available at all EUSD school sites to bring parents and guardians onto the school campus during the 2016–2017 school year:
Coffee with the Principal
Principals, assistant principals, and/or staff members provide an opportunity to dialogue with parents and guardians about issues specific to the school site.
Curriculum Based Family Events
Hands-on events planned to bring together parents, guardians, and students to engage in learning based on the California State Standards.
Family Days at Lunch
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend lunch with their student at least once a trimester. During these planned events at the school sites, attendees will have the opportunity to access school and community resources as well as taste food from the EUSD Nutrition Services Department.
Parent University workshops provide parents and guardians with important information to help support their student’s academic and personal success. EUSD schools will offer the following workshops, parenting classes, and customized trainings covering a range of topics throughout the year. The chart below indicates which schools offer each workshop, but parents and guardians are welcome to attend Parent University workshops at any EUSD school throughout the year. Please see the Parent University Calendar for specific Parent University workshop times and locations.
