Educational Services: Extended Learning, Intervention, Enrichment

The Escondido Union School District focuses on actualizing the unlimited potential of every learner. We strive to meet the needs of all students and to provide learning opportunities that are meaningful and engaging. In doing so, EUSD educators and support staff members are committed to implementing systems within schools that support and challenge students.

We celebrate and build upon the skills and interests of our students. Academic interventions are provided to identified students, as well as educational enrichment opportunities that include art, science, music, and computer science. EUSD offers Extended Learning opportunities outside of the traditional school day, including after-school programs that provide enrichment activities, homework help, academic tutoring, and summer school. Summer 2019 offerings

EUSD is excited to offer several summer programs. For summer 2019 enrichment and intervention opportunities, invitation letters with applications have been mailed to qualifying students. Enrollment will be determined by lottery. The Open Library program is open to all, with no application required.

  • Summer Open Library
    All EUSD elementary-age students are welcome to Summer Open Library sessions at Conway Elementary. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during visits. Get all of the details here, including times and dates.
  • Summer Scholars Academy provides academic intervention and enrichment. Students are invited to attend this program based on academic criteria.
  • Elementary GATE Summer Institute: Camp Invention
    Students are invited to attend this program based on GATE Identified or GATE Provisional status.
  • Middle School GATE Summer Institute: Camp Exploration
    Students are invited to attend this program based on GATE Identified or GATE Provisional status.
